Your Guide to Planning the Perfect Bachelorette Party in Savannah

One of the most anticipated events around a wedding, besides the wedding itself of course, are the bachelorette festivities. While this long held tradition has changed over time (no longer the night before the wedding, often more than one night), the idea behind it is the same: spend time with your friends celebrating the bride-to-be and her upcoming wedding!

It should be no surprise that Savannah is an amazing location for a bachelorette weekend because there is SO much to do.

Here are some of South Key’s must do recommendations for bachelorette party activities.

  1. Host a happy hour downtown

One of our favorite times to experience Savannah is during the evening, specifically happy hour. There are so many bars and restaurants with great views and decent happy hour deals.

A few of South Key Management’s favorites are:

These are just a few of the options for a great happy hour. For even more bar options, check out our Food & Bars recommendations.

Don’t forget that in Savannah, you can take your drink to go as you hop from place to place.

2 – Bridal brunch Saturday or Sunday

Brunch is a big deal in Savannah with most restaurants offering drink and breakfast specials.

Two restaurants that we love for a weekend brunch are:

The Collins Quarter – with two locations to choose from the Collins Quarter is the perfect place to grab a specialty coffee and unique brunch. The Forsyth Park café is especially scenic if you want views with your breakfast.

Rhett – offering brunch daily, Rhett is a great option if you are visiting midweek and want to experience brunch. Offering everything from omelets to French toast to sandwiches, Rhett has something for everyone. Don’t forget to check out their Bloody Mary bar!

Since brunch is so popular, make sure you set up a reservation ahead of time or you might not get to dine at your first choice.

3 – Celebrate the bride with dueling pianos

When you are visiting Savannah for the weekend, drop by Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano to catch part of their live show. Open Thursday – Saturday from 7pm to 3am you have plenty of opportunities to bid and request songs live to create a customized dueling piano show. Grab drinks and snacks while you’re out, taking advantage of their full menu that is available until 2am!

4 – Go on a boat ride

One of the most popular ways to experience Savannah is on the water, cruising down the Savannah River. There are so many different options for boat rides or cruises within Savannah, depending on what you are looking for!

For a cruise that provides a meal, check out Savannah Riverboat Cruises for their brunch, lunch, or dinner cruises. (Note that Savannah Riverboat Cruises do have an off season for the winter.)

For a private cruise or a bachelorette party cruise, check out Bull River Cruises.

For a dolphin sighting tour or sunset cruise, check out Mermaid Pirate Dolphin Tour

There are lots of different boat ride options depending on what you want to do and how long you want to be on the water, but you can’t go wrong with any of the local companies!

5 – Do a Sip n’ Shop tour

If your bride or your group likes drinking and shopping, then the Sip n’ Shop Savannah Tour is the perfect activity for you! During a three-hour guided tour of downtown you will be able to sip delicious wine and stop at some of Savannah’s best boutiques where you will get exclusive discounts (10-20%) as part of the tour. Free appetizers are provided and two specialty cocktails.

6 – Spend a beach day at Tybee Island

No bachelorette trip is complete without a day spent at the beach. Located about 20 minutes away from Savannah, Tybee Island is the perfect beach location. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or book a fun group activity like kayaking or try to see a dolphin tour! There is a pier filled with lots of restaurants to choose from for lunch.

Here are even more activities you can do in Tybee Island.

You’ll have plenty of time to head back to Savannah to get ready for dinner.

There is so much to do in Savannah that it makes, in our opinion, the perfect place for a weekend bachelorette getaway. Check out South Key Management’s accommodations to find the perfect home base for your weekend. Remember, South Key Management is here to serve the key to your Southern comfort.
