What better way to say goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022 than by doing something fun and unique in a warm place like Savannah? At South Key Management we love the holidays in Savannah because of all the fun decorations and activities!
Here are seven ways to ring in the new year in Savannah.
A very family friendly option for New Year’s Eve is a dinner cruise on the Savannah River. Savannah Riverboat Cruises has a three-hour Dinner Cruise that leaves at 5pm. Enjoy a buffet dinner and live entertainment and get back in time for bedtime!
If you don’t have kids or are leaving the kids behind, the Savannah Riverboat Cruises Party Cruise could be the event for you!
The three-hour party starts at 9:30, rings in the new year on the water, and returns at 12:30am. Enjoy music, entertainment, and appetizers plus a cash bar.
If you want to spend a night at Tybee Island, they are famous for their New Year’s Eve fireworks display. Find a spot on the beach, pack a picnic, and enjoy the free show.
Spend the evening doing something low key and walk-through Savannah City Market to do some shopping. Stop by one of the many restaurants there for dinner and drinks (but you might need to make a reservation!).
End the year learning how to make a four-course meal at 700 Kitchen Cooking School at the Mansion on Forsyth Park!
The menu includes:
The class costs $125 per person. If interested call 912-721-5006 to book your spot!
If you are looking for a non-party, truly unique way to ring in the new year, consider a Wild Night on Ossabaw. This overnight educational journey starts in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve with an interpretive walking tour on the island. Enjoy an Ossabaw Farm to Table dinner followed by music, stories, and s’mores. For those of age, there will be a champagne toast to ring in the New Year. In the morning you will get a farm-to-table breakfast and then return to the mainland.
This is the perfect event for people who have young kids!
Hosted by the Children’s Museum of Pooler, kids are invited to attend Noon Year’s Eve at the Children’s Museum of Pooler, starting at 9am. Go dressed in pajamas and kids can make their own party hats, build a ball drop tower and celebrate the new year at 12pm (noon) with confetti poppers!
