With Spring comes the first holiday of the year: Easter! This year Easter falls on April 17th and there are several events happening that week for those who come to Savannah to celebrate!
Here are seven activities South Key Management recommends for getting in the Easter spirit.
The Thursday before Easter, you can catch Ben Folds in concert at District Live. Known for his group music (Ben Folds five), solo music, and collaborations, the concert promises to include a wide variety of songs from his repertoire. The concert starts at 8pm.
During the month of April, you can do an Early Bird’s Walking Tour every Saturday. Starting at 8am, the 2.7-mile walk takes you from the Davenport House Museum around the city showcasing the architecture and preservation efforts. You can reserve a spot ahead of time or show up the morning of.
Each month the Unity in the Community program has a River Street event. Stop by the April event located on River Street. Celebrate unity within the Savannah community with a weekend of arts and crafts, entertainment, and music. Spring Fling C-Port Food Rode runs from April 15-17th.
If you have kids, the Easter Egg Hunt at Fort McAllister State Park is the perfect pre-Easter activity. Saturday April 16th from 10am-12pm, children can bring a basket and participate in the Easter egg hunt.
Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with the family after on the park grounds.

If you want to attend an Easter Mass while you are in town, there are churches of all denominations near Savannah’s Historic District.
If you are looking for a nondenominational church, there are several just outside the city, including Community Bible Church.
