At South Key Management, we personally understand the bond between an owner and their dog, and we know how hard it can be to leave our four-legged friends for vacations. The great news is that Savannah is an incredibly dog-friendly city and there are many things that you can do here with your furry friends!
Here are six ways to spend time with your dogs in Savannah:
Since Savannah is such a walkable city, it will be easy to spend time outside exploring with your dog. A few of our favorite spots to walk are:
Forsyth Park is an ideal place to snap some cute pictures of your dog among the famous Forsyth Fountain scenery and seasonal flowers.
Savannah is so pet-friendly that there is even a historical walk dedicated to dogs! The Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk is a 1-mile tour that lasts about 90 minutes (or longer depending on the dogs’ pace) and covers 7 of the 22 historic squares. Your tour guide will also help point out some of the dog-friendly restaurants around the city.
All dogs will receive a little goodie bag with Ollie B. Biscuits and Bites, making this a really fun event for both you and your pup.

You don’t have to leave your dog at home if you want to eat at exquisite restaurants. There are so many local establishments that welcome dogs. A few of our favorite dog-friendly restaurants are:
All these restaurants have shaded outdoor areas and are quick to bring water when customers have dogs with them. Hospitality never fails in Savannah!
In downtown Savannah, there is a great store that caters to dogs: Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. You can set up a spa day for your dog or just grab some tasty all natural treats and jerky. They also have a retail store, so if your dog needs some new accessories this is the place to go.
Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming has multiple locations within Savannah, so if you want to spoil your dog you have a few options to choose from!
The Savannah Bee Company welcomes you and your pup to come in for a honey tasting so you can find your favorite kind of honey. Their one-of-a-kind honey tastings are led by experts who will walk you through all of the specialty honeys.
Well behaved pups are welcome to join you as you explore their honeys and natural body care products.
Don’t worry, for those beer lovers there is an amazing local brewery called Service Brewing Co. Owned and operated by Veterans, Service Brewing Co. features American made beers brewed locally and welcomes dogs on the patio and in the beer garden. The taproom is open from Wednesday through Sunday.
Last but certainly not least, we invite you to experience one of Savannah’s favorite Dog-friendly events of the year - Wag-O-Ween or weekend, that is.
Every October, dog-loving businesses, Renegade Rescue, Hipster Hound, host a popular Halloween trick-or-treat-in-Savannah-event for you and your pet! This 2-day event is a must-do if you are a dog owner dreaming of matching dog and owner Halloween outfits or if you just want to see combinations that will make you laugh, smile, and wish you knew about it earlier. Read more about Wag-O-Weekend on their website and be sure to let us know if you’ll be in town, we will most likely be participating with our pup too!
