Popular Spring Events in Savannah, Georgia

The Savannah Book Festival

Though the Savannah Book Festival is held in Savannah's Historic District in February, we tend to consider February the beginning of the gorgeous spring weather in Savannah. This event, which will be hosted from February 5th – 8th, 2025, is free and open to the public. Its mission is to promote reading, writing, and civil conversation.

The Savannah Book Festival in 2024 welcomed several esteemed authors, including Ruth Ware, Jeannette Walls, and David Grann, to Savannah. If you're a voracious reader, you should mark your calendar next February for this exciting event!

Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club

Are you an avid golfer? If so, you need to attend the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club (formerly known as the Savannah Golf Championship) this upcoming spring!

This week-long event, hosted from March 31st – April 6th, 2025, is held on the Deer Creek Course and is part of the Korn Ferry Tour Schedule. The competition itself lasts for four days and is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition with a prize of $1,000,000.

Savannah Music Festival

Another Savannah staple that brings hundreds of musical artists to Savannah's Historic District every year is the Savannah Music Festival. The festival is a 17-day event, and in 2024, it was hosted from Thursday, March 28th to Saturday, April 13th.

With multiple daily events, you’ll have the opportunity to spend your time listening to as much live music as you can! The Savannah Music Festival hosts different artists of varying genres, from classical and jazz to bluegrass and rock, so it's a great event for all music lovers.

SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival

While Forsyth Park is already an incredible place to visit during spring in Savannah, this park becomes even more appealing to visit during the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival.

During this event, college students from the Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as alumni and local high school students, transform the sidewalks of Forsyth Park with colorful chalk artwork for a chance to win prizes. This anticipated event will be hosted on April 27th, 2024.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

The St. Patrick's Day in Savannah is one of the city's most anticipated events every March. This parade has been a Savannah tradition since 1824 and includes elaborate floats, live music, marching bands, traditional dancers, and other celebrations of Irish heritage. It is also the third-largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country, just behind New York City and Chicago!
