Covered from head to toe in original artwork, much of which is actually produced by the owner and her family, you will feel as though you’re strolling through a private art gallery. Just pour a Merlot, and let your curiosity and imagination run wild as you admire the craftsmanship. The living room is the perfect place to relax and entertain your guests with plenty of comfy seating, a smart TV and lots of coffee table space to gather ‘round and play some cards. Settle in to the cool Derbyshire blue Chatsworth Room, the owner’s interpretation of an English “snug”, for an evening of conversation and cocktails beneath the soothing glow of pierced metal lanterns. Let the conversation spill into the open dining room and kitchen as you enjoy the large formal dining table surrounded by authentic Louis Ghost Chairs, or perch on a stool at the spacious, Carrara marble bar. The sleek kitchen is an entertainer’s dream, with ample counter space and everything you need to show off your culinary and mixology skills to the group as you whip up some hand-crafted nibbles and drinks before heading out for the night. The gorgeous master bedroom consists of a king bed and a huge master bath with separate soaking tub, for a complete blissful unwinding. The second bedroom has a king bed with lots of natural light, and shares a hall bath with the third bedroom, equipped with a cozy double bed made of old reclaimed wood. Each bedroom has plenty of closet and drawer space, so if you like to have plenty of outfit choices for the day, we've got you covered :)
You have this stunning home all to yourself! You may access the front porch, upper balcony and rear courtyard at your leisure. We do want to reiterate that this is a residential neighborhood and "quiet hours" are from 9pm - 8am. If you're having that late-night cocktail outside, we just ask that you keep to a reasonable volume and head in if you're hit with that sudden interest to sing karaoke! :) Parking is free on the street. Please just be sure to read signs before parking overnight as there are street sweepers that come twice a week.
Being just a 1 minute walk to Forsyth Park, you really can't beat this location. It's plenty quiet enough at night to get a good night's sleep, yet close enough to everything that Savannah has to offer. Enjoy a quick stroll through the park and check out the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings from 9-12. We're just a few blocks away from some of the best local restaurants and shops in town. Local 11ten, Betty Bombers, Sentient Bean, Black Rabbit and Cuban Window Cafe are all less than a ten minute walk from the house. Check out our favorite natural food store, Brighter Day, just at the top of the park where you can pick up all of your groceries for the week. We're roughly a mile from City Market, River Street and Bay Street, where all of the action is!
Aside from being able to walk everywhere, we have a FREE trolley bus that takes you up and down the historic district called the DOT shuttle. There's a pickup stop just two blocks away. Another FREE option is The Downtowner, which is essentially a Savannah-run "uber" that runs 10am-midnight 7 days a week. Of course, Uber/Lyft is always a good option to pop around downtown especially late at night, when some of the other options are limited.
This is a residential neighborhood and we have great relationships with out neighbors, so beg of you to be respectful with your noise levels especially late at night. The City's noise ordinance is from 9pm-8am so if you do plan on having a few extra cocktails on the porch, we just ask that you use your inside voices :)
