The Space

Among the historic structures of Savannah, the Harcourt Manor was originally built for the prominent Wigley family in 1854. Enter the home through the iron rail staircase facing Gordon street. Using your provided door code, enter directly into the grand hallway of the home filled with natural light from the oversized windows and vaulted ceilings. To the left, step into the formal living space featuring two beautiful, oversized sofas and an original wood-burning fireplace.

Through a case opening featuring incredible pocket doors, you will find the informal entertainment room providing an additional oversized sofa, reading chairs, and a large smart TV ready to stream your favorite shows! All TV's come with YoutubeTV you may access for free. A dedicated workspace is found along the back wall providing the perfect space for anyone working remotely during their stay.

Continuing towards the back of the home, you will find a stunning formal dining room with a large table set for six. Accented by an original fireplace and custom chandelier, the room is filled with natural light from the oversized window and glass entryways leading to other home sections. A perfect place for game night or sharing a delicious meal, you will certainly enjoy this wonderful area of the home.

At the back of the main floor, you will find a fully custom kitchen and breakfast nook with a table set for six. The kitchen features floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, granite countertops, a gas cooktop, and a built-in stove with a warming tray. The kitchen is fully appointed with all the essentials for cooking, including pots, pans, cooking utensils, and more. Rounding out the kitchen, you will find a variety of small appliances, including a coffee maker, coffee provided, a toaster, a kettle, and a blender.

Travel to the second floor of the home to find all three bedrooms and three bathrooms.  

The primary ensuite features an exquisite king bed with fresh linens and pillows. Three large windows pour in natural light and a comfortable reading chair provides you with the perfect spot to read in the comfort of your room. Directly off the main suite find the master bathroom featuring a large vanity, separate built-in soaking tub, and custom low-entry shower.

Directly center to the upstairs in the second bedroom, featuring a comfortable queen mattress with fresh linens, a personal fireplace, a dresser, and two additional reading chairs. Out and to the left of this bedroom you will find the community bathroom featuring a shower/tub combination and single vanity.

At the back of the home, you will find the second ensuite featuring a king mattress and a private bathroom with a single vanity and low-entry shower. Enjoy your private balcony directly off the second ensuite overlooking the garden patio below, a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun comes up.  

All bathrooms are stocked with the essentials, including towels, toilet paper, shampoo, and body wash. Additionally, we provide a hair dryer as well as an iron and ironing board. Our high-speed WIFI is perfect for anyone working remotely during their stay, with speeds supporting video conferencing and multitasking.

Guest Access

You may park one vehicle in the garage, there will be a code provided to get in and out. Please note, extra large vehicles may not fit. The entire parlor-level home is for your use! You may access the courtyard at your leisure, just know that this is the only shared space with the other 2 units. We always welcome saying hello to your neighbors!

Neighborhood

Located on east Gordon St., a quiet cobblestone road, you will be in the heart of Savannah but enjoy a reprieve from the bustling downtown. Residing just one city block north of Forsyth park, you can take full advantage of peaceful morning walks through one of Savannah’s staple destinations. Additionally, enjoy the greenspaces of Monterey Square and Calhoun Square, all just minutes from your doorstep.

With a stay at the manor, you have ample choices for dining and entertainment. Grab a casual meal at the very popular Collins quarter at Forsyth or enjoy some fine southern dining at 700 Drayton Restaurant. Looking for that downhome restaurant with all of the southern hospitality you desire? Stop into Mrs. Wilke's Dining Room just northwest of the home.

History abounds throughout Savannah, and the local neighborhood is no exception. Stop off at the Massie Heritage Center, providing unique exhibits about Savannah designed for kids. Stroll by The Armstrong Mansion, or dive into Savannah’s spooky pass by stopping into the Mercer-Williams House Museum. Explore the greater history of Georgia and the area with trips to the Georgia State Railroad Museum or the Beach Institute of African American Culture Center.  

Continue north to discover Savannah’s beautiful River street district, filled with endless shops and restaurants. There is something for everyone. Grab a pint at Moon River Brewing Company, 6 Pence Pub (a British-themed pub), or Abe’s on Lincoln, an eclectic pub featuring hundreds of hand-drawn portraits of old Abe Lincoln.

Getting around is easy with walkable streets, bike rentals, and uber service. Jump on Savannah’s public transit system with the Abercorn & Wayne stop just a 2-minute walk from the manor. Are you looking to travel via the Savannah River? Try out the Savannah Belles Ferries to see the beautiful skyline of Savannah from the riverfront.

Getting Around

There is a FREE City "trolley" shuttle called the DOT that picks up just a block from you. This will take you all around the Historic District and stops near plenty of attractions. Additionally, there is The Downtowner which is a City-ran "uber" just download the app and they will pick you up for free! Aside from that, we recommend using Uber/Lyft to get where you need. If you find free parking near the apartment, stay there! You can walk to just about anything in the City! :)
