The Space

Nestled along a quiet residential section of the Thomas Square District, the Savannah Digs is the perfect apartment unit set up for five guests. The entire unit has been freshly updated and styled to provide you with a modern feel while being a cozy place to relax after a day of adventure. Enter the property using your custom door code and head straight up the stairs to this second-floor unit. To the left of the entrance, you will immediately step into the large kitchen featuring new quartz countertops, new appliances, and a butler’s corner featuring its own sink, coffee maker, and wine cooler. The high-top island provides room for eating or prep and a peninsula bar top provides space for two looking onto the living room. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the essentials you need for cooking including pots, pans, and utensils. Step out from the kitchen to enjoy your own wrap-around patio with additional stairs leading to the rear of the property where free parking is available.

From the kitchen, the apartment flows into a spacious living space featuring an oversized sofa that pulls out into a bed to sleep a 5th guest. Accompanied by a stylish reading chair and large windows, the living space is filled with natural light and is the perfect place to unwind. A large 55-inch smart TV is ready for you to stream any of your favorite entertainment.

Along the backside of the staircase find the first bedroom featuring a brand-new king mattress, crisp linens, and plush pillows. Boasting vaulted ceilings, overhead reading pendant lights, a full dresser, and closet space this room ties together a transitional design that features perfect elements of modern and traditional that will leave you in comfort when lying down at night.

Continuing with the unique transitional design, the second bedroom features a brand-new queen mattress, comfortable linens, reading sconces, and a wicker chest for storage. Vaulted ceilings accented by the natural light pouring in from the large window make this smaller room feel spacious yet cozy.

Off the two bedrooms find the apartment’s single bathroom that has been fully updated with a modern flair featuring natural wood tones, greenery, and a subway tile step-in shower. The bathroom is outfitted with all the essentials including fresh towels, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash.

Working remotely? The apartment has plenty of tabletop space to set up your home office and high-speed WIFI capable of supporting video conferencing and multi-tasking.

Free street parking is provided in front of the apartment as well as behind the property if needed.

Guest Access

The entire apartment is for your enjoyment. We have a deck right off the back, through the kitchen that is for your use as well, to sit out and enjoy a coffee in the morning or cocktail in the evening :) We just ask that you're courteous to your neighbors as the owner lives downstairs so try to keep noise levels to a minimum when out there, especially after 10pm.  You may park in the rear parking spot if you have more than one car, just ask us how to park there.

Neighborhood

The Thomas Square District is perfectly situated on the southern half of the downtown area. A heavy residential district, the Digs is located on a nice and quiet side street but surrounded by all the fantastic eateries, attractions, and southern hospitality you expect from Savannah.  Located just a 10-minute walk south of Forsyth Park and just around the corner from Dixon Park, you will be able to enjoy many of the greenspaces the downtown offers.

Looking for some fantastic bites that are close to home? Breakfast or lunch at the Fork and Dagger Diner is an absolute must. Grab an incredible burger at Sly’s Sliders and Fries or ramp it up with some tacos and tequila at Tacos + Tequila by Tequila’s town, all just minutes from your front door.

A trip to Savannah wouldn’t be complete without grabbing some perfect pints around town.  Check out The Wormhole Neighborhood Pub & Music Venue, Green Truck Neighborhood Pub, or the Lone Wolf Lounge all located just south of the apartment. Feel the colonial and Irish past of Savannah by heading north towards the riverwalk to check out Six Pence Pub (British inspired) or O’Connell’s Irish pub where you can grab that delicious pint of Guinness you are craving.

Staying longer or looking to cook your own meals? The Chinatown Market is just a short walk. Grab some delicious seafood to cook at Ambos Seafood or get all the essentials at the Kroger located just north of the apartment.

Adventure is endless in the historic and arts-driven downtown. Want to learn to blow glass? Check out Blown studios where you can get private lessons from talented glass blowers. Take the kids to Scribble Art Studio to let their creativeness soar. Looking to explore Savannah’s rich past? Check out the Savannah African Art Museum, the Savannah History Museum, Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, or the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. The possibilities are endless.

Want to take it all in at once while riding or biking? We are just minutes away from Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah and Savannah Bike Tours.

Getting around is easy with walkable streets, bike rentals, and uber service. Jump on Savannah’s public transit system with the Henry & E Broad WB stop just a 5-minute walk from the Digs. Want to make a fantastic memory? Head to the river walk and try out the Savannah Belles Ferries to see the beautiful skyline of Savannah from the riverfront

Getting Around

Though you can walk to most places, if you decide to take a car downtown, we recommend Uber/Lyft so you don't have to worry about parking. There is also a FREE "uber" called The Downtowner that is sponsored through the City and you can download the app and use that as well. Additionally, you may pick up the FREE DOT shuttle/trolley at Forsyth Park, only a quick 10 minute walk (half a mile).
