Space

Originally designed and built for the “spinster” sisters, the Murphy house was purchased by French artist “Murphy” which now is the properties namesake. This beautiful historic district property is the perfect location to tap in to Savannah history while being close to everything Savannah has to offer.
Step inside and enjoy a beautifully restored common area with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and tall windows that fill the space with natural light. The kitchen is fully appointed with modern appliances, rich blue cabinetry, cookware, dishes, a Keurig coffee maker, and all the essentials to cook and dine in. Stream your favorite shows on smart TVs or unwind with a book in the cozy living area. A pull-out sofa offers extra sleeping space and flexibility for groups or families.

Two spacious bedrooms each feature a queen bed with fresh linens, soft pillows, and classic decor. Vintage touches and curated artwork create a warm, elegant ambiance ideal for restful nights after a day exploring the city.

The updated bathroom includes a walk-in shower and comes stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay—plush towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer.
High-speed WiFi is available throughout the unit, and a washer/dryer is located on the first floor for your convenience.

Whoever said the photos didn’t do the place justice was correct! We stayed to settle our son into SCAD. The home was 2 blocks away from SCAD and just perfect in terms of location and everything else. It’s massive! I was a little worried about the warm water comment that someone else mentioned but there was no concern there—just need to adjust the shower lever. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! It’s BEAUTIFUL and so tasteful and clean. Love, love, love!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. The location was perfect and made getting around easy. We parked in a garage a few blocks away then walked around Savannah for the rest of our trip, no car needed with this location. Loved the coffee shop right on the corner perfect for getting breakfast each day. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, with any questions. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Centrally located! Cannot rave enough about how close you are to everything from restaurants to the river front to numerous entertainment options. Great restaurant right next door that came in handy. My wife usually loves to drive however you truly have no need when staying here. Comfortable clean & just the perfect historic charm you would want to experience when staying in Savannah. Cannot recommend enough and would certainly stay again in the future.

Absolutely perfect! Beautifully furnished and decorated with historic details in place. The bathroom and kitchen are spotless, and the bedding fresh and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better. The square is gorgeous! The neighborhood is clean and safe, and it’s very walkable. Sleeping in the front room I could hear people walking by and a little traffic noise, but nothing loud or bothersome at all. We loved the cafe practically next door for breakfast.

SUCH a beautiful, spacious, and comfortable apartment, highly recommend staying here! Three of us slept very comfortably, 2 or 3 more could have easily fit if you're fine sharing 1 bathroom. There is a beautiful park/square across the street. Every tour we signed up for ended up starting within 2 blocks of the apartment. There are multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping within walking distance. Laundry facilities are right outside the apartment door (within the building), making laundry very easy without having to deal with the noise. Detergent is not supplied, so we were happy we brought our own. The kitchen supplies are somewhat limited for cooking, but we went out to eat for all meals, so that didn't negatively affect our stay at all. Our only true "complaint" was that the shower took a long time to get warm and rarely got hot. BUT, it's an old building, and really, we were fine. The beauty and comfort of the apartment + central location were worth the warm showers.

Spacious apartment with comfortable beds and sweet back porch. Very well located close to everything in the Historic District with tons of restaurants nearby. Light sleepers may not do well with the bedroom facing the square.
