Space

This home was built at the turn of the century and combined the popular federal design with aspects of antebellum and colonial styles. Beautifully kept through the years, the home still features original wood flooring, an original fireplace, and original hand-crafted crown modeling. Built on the grounds of the original Trustees’ Garden, this historic area of Savannah has played a significant role in Savannah’s history. First as an experimental garden, then as various military forts and Ironworks, and now as an incredible combination of beautiful venues. You are genuinely staying atop Savannah’s history with a stay at The Cottage.
Embark on your stay by entering the cottage through a private entrance nestled in a garden space filled with greenery and brick-laying paths.
Directly inside, step into the dining and kitchen space. In the dining area is a table set for four, accented by abundant natural light from surrounding windows. Take the short hallway to the galley kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, custom oak cabinets, and everything you need to cook. Pots, pans, kitchen utensils, dishware, and small appliances ensure the kitchen is ready for a short or extended stay.
Walk along the original hardwood floors to the living room featuring high ceilings, oversized windows, a large love seat, and reading chairs. Custom features are everywhere, including a crystal chandelier, crown modeling, and original fireplaces.
From the living room, enter the main ensuite through double French doors. The suite incorporates style and comfort, featuring a new queen mattress with comfortable linens to guarantee a restful stay. Off the suite is The Cottage’s single bathroom. Find a pedestal sink, shower/tub combination, and all the essentials, including toilet paper, towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.
Are you working remotely during your stay? High-speed WIFI supports videoconferencing and multitasking.
Host tip? Enjoy your coffee on the back porch taking in the subtle sounds of Savannah and the wind blowing through the old-growth trees surrounding the property.

Wow! We could not have chosen a better place to stay for our first trip to Savannah. It truly captured the historic, beautiful vibe of Savannah while being walkable to the river and throughout the historic district. They had everything we needed and more for our stay with super easy instructions of parking/check-in. Will definitely stay here on our next trip!

While beautifully decorated, this place smells awful inside. We expected an “old house smell,” but this was worse. And the bathroom was essentially unusable due to a strange motor oil smell. When I contacted the owners, their response was less than helpful.

The place is actually even better than the photos. the furnishings are stunning; the kitchen is well equipped; and the location is perfect for exploring Savannah.

A perfect way to spend our anniversary! The home was spacious and comfortable. A very short walk to River Street. Located right next door to The Pirates House restaurant which was very good food! Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Brandon and Chase were very welcoming and extremely responsive. They even checked on us half way through our trip to make sure everything was going well. The king size bed with luxurious sheets and pillows was super comfortable and so nice coming home to after long days of shopping and exploring. The water pressure was great and the water stayed hot even after we both took long showers! The kitchen was well equipped including a Keurig coffee maker which made either a whole pot or a single cup of coffee. Ground coffee and pods were both provided along with packets of sugar and creamer. So nice to wake up and not have to go search for coffee in town! We absolutely loved the home and would stay again and again!

This was a cute, comfortable place in a great location to explore the Savannah historic district. It was clean and the check-in instructions were clear. The one small thing to note is that there were some limitations related to the St Patrick’s Day parade (such as inability to park on the street for the day, restrictions on early check in or late check out) that weren’t communicated until the day before. It didn’t end up affecting our visit but it might have been an issue if we’d had a car. Overall, though, this was a great place and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great place, good location. We had a couple problems that was address in a message to Brandon and Chase. We never received a response. I was lucky the next day to have a property person watching us as the door would not lock. She also was unable to lock it. She did get a maintenance person to fix that and also the tv remote in bedroom would not function. The new remote needed programming as mentioned in another message. No response. We were lucky for the timing of the property person. She was great. Problem: no response. Thank you
