Description

Placed perfectly on the west end of Jones Street where you will find some peace and quiet, sits our historic 1854 town home. As its name subtly gives away, the Jesse Mount House was, indeed built for Jesse Mount, a prominent Savannah businessman. The 4-story building was most recently converted to be a fully equipped 5 bedroom B&B. We are offering our extremely spacious garden level apartment for up to 4 people. With a stunning courtyard, 2 large bathrooms, and cozy fireplaces this tranquil setting is perfect for couples or friends looking for some much needed relaxation.

Space

Aside from the apartment itself offering plenty of space, the main bedroom offers a King bed with rocking chairs and a super cozy fireplace. The second room has a queen bed and private exit/entrance to Jones Street for those who like to sneak out for their own adventures :) The living large living or great room has a big L couch and plenty of space to hang out and lounge. In here we offer built in desk space, a card table and a Smart TV. We offer 2 huge bathrooms, both of which have a shower and tub, with the larger one offering a working Jacuzzi tub! The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of space to cook for those seeking longer stays and the breakfast nook is a perfect place to sit and read the paper in the early morning. Access to the pristine courtyard is just through the french doors in the kitchen.

The Neighborhood

This original cobblestone street really is the absolute prettiest in all of Savannah. We have had several movie scenes and dozens of wedding photos shot here. We are just a block over from Mrs. WIlkes Dining Room and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor. The famous Clary's Cafe is just a few blocks east and we are minutes from Broughton Street, River Street and Forsyth Park!

As you have probably heard, you are allowed to Drink n' Walk in Savannah! If you choose to walk around town with a drink (and I don't mean grape juice) then you will just need to put it in a "to-go" cup (can get these at any bar!) They do not allow you to walk around with disposable cans or bottles so be sure to use a plastic cup.

Getting around

Aside from being able to walk to everything, if you should need a ride, we suggest taking Uber/Lyft as parking can be a nightmare. There is also a FREE shuttle bus called The Dot that connects you all around town and it is just around the corner at Whitaker and Jones. This runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights!

Guest Access

Aside from the entire garden level apartment being all yours, we do offer access to the washer/dryer if needed. it is straight across the courtyard into the carriage house. Give us a heads up if you plan to use this. You may use the courtyard at your leisure but be respectful of quiet hours as this part of the property is shared with the main house.

House Rules Desc

Absolutely no animals are permitted whatsoever.

Please do not use our linens/towels to wipe off makeup or excessive dirt, we offer makeup wipes and paper towels for these reasons. Stained linens may result in a linen fee of up to $50 per item.

Please treat the home as your own and let us know if anything breaks. We are much more empathetic to those who are honest and upfront with us :)

Do not flush ANY thing other than toilet paper down the toilets ("flushable" wet wipes are not permitted either). If we have to call an emergency plumber and find that the cause of a blockage is due to something unpermitted being flushed, you will be subject to a $250 fee.

Interaction

We are available to guests via mobile Monday-Friday 9am-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-8pm. We don't live far so if you should need anything or have any issues, just let us know.
If you have any emergencies call 911.

Other things to note

Be sure to bring your walking shoes! The historical nature of Savannah and its's breathtaking architecture also means lots of uneven surfaces around town! It's part of the fun :)

We went to Savannah for a quick post Christmas trip and were thrilled to have stayed in Brandon and Chase’s home. It was perfect for our family- clean, great size with everything we needed, and extremely walkable for all the things in Savannah we wanted to do!

What about absolutely charming, romantic place to stay!! The place has so much character that I found myself not wanting to leave. My husband normally doesn't really comment on places, but he commented that he really liked this one and I did a good job picking. He said it felt like we were in another country, and actually it did. When you sit on the couch and look out the back door to the garden area, it pretty much teleports you. The house was well appointed and in the most perfect location imaginable. Jones Street is my favorite in Savannah of course, so I was elated we found this place! We walked literally everywhere! The hosts were very responsive. I'd definitely stay again 😁

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful historic property in downtown Savannah. The home perfectly captured the essence of historic Savannah, and its location was ideal—walkable to shops, restaurants, and museums. The property had thoughtful amenities, including coffee, a microwave, a jacuzzi tub, and a cozy fireplace. We especially loved the charming courtyard, which was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee. Brandon and Chase were fantastic hosts—very responsive and helpful, providing excellent restaurant and tour recommendations. They even surprised us with a bottle of wine and a thoughtful card for our anniversary, which made our stay even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Savannah!

This is a gorgeous Airbnb on one of Savannah’s most beautiful streets. I loved the bright and inviting kitchen and the charming courtyard the most. It was also great having two bathrooms as I shared the space with a friend. We even had our own large jacuzzi tubs which is a great plus if you find some time to relax. We had a couple of hiccups with the place including the key not opening the door (they had some recent issues with the lock). Additionally, we were very confused about the overhead light in the large bedroom (heads up- the switch is in the hallway next to the other bedroom for some strange reason). That being said the hosts were very responsive and offered solutions quickly. I’m sure they already have the lock issue taken care of Overall, great classic Savannah stay in a perfect location. I’d stay here again or recommend to anyone visiting the area.
