Our Story of Southern Hospitality
Founded in 2016, South Key Management Co. was created with southern hospitality in mind. Whether we are welcoming our guests to a vacation stay or helping you see the value in your property’s charm we are delighted to serve you.
Founding Story
The Backstory
The story of South Key begins with founder Chase Stahl, a native Virginian who was eager to put his Tourism and Hospitality talent and experience to the test in the city. Fresh out of college, he joined a boutique hotel in Old Town Alexandria, VA where he met and befriended his current business partner, Brandon Brown.
Eventually, Chase ended up quitting his 9-5 job to follow his parents’ house flipping adventure where he familiarized himself with Savannah’s real estate market. It wasn’t long before the young entrepreneur convinced his parents to convert their newly renovated flip, minutes from Forsyth Park, and turn it into the first South Key vacation rental property. With perseverance and his can-do attitude, Chase took care of his first set of property management clients, his parents.

The Moment South Key’s Journey Began
Years into his property management career and as fate may have it, Brandon and Chase reunited once again in Savannah and continued their journey to become the dynamic duo of southern hospitality.
Creating a name for South Key and bringing in the best in the industry to keep up with the competitive vacation rental market, the team has flourished to become nominated as one of the Best of Savannah’s. Today, South Key provides services to over 50 properties as Savannah’s premium vacation rental company of choice in Historic Downtown Savannah.

Having lived across the globe and visited countless cities, Chase is continuously inspired by the charm that follows an authentic stay. His previous years of work experience in multiple boutique hotels, has enhanced Chase’s belief on what it takes to make a difference for a guest. Brandon joined the South Key team in 2019 after relocating with his family from Washington, DC. Mayra, South Key’s powerhouse team member, is an exceptional role model for exceeding the benchmarks in hospitality service. With more than a decade of operation experience, and a passion for project management and timely delivery, it’s no wonder she naturally thrives in quality inspection control for our growing number of properties. Her operational expertise extends across various sectors and team sizes. From overseeing large housekeeping jobs for private colleges like SCAD to smaller retail facilities, her drive to keep properties in tip-top shape knows no boundaries.Giovanna

Giovanna or “Gio” as they call her, joined South Key’s team bringing years of marketing and communications experience to the table. Having formerly worked with corporate management in various industries, her dynamic leadership has become invaluable in aligning South Key’s growing team. Giovanna is also proud to remark that she’s picked up a thing or two from her father, a long-standing example of 5-star hospitality excellence at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Tysons Corner, VA.
